The ideal candidate:
- Must possess strong oral and written communication skills, strong organizational and time management skills, ability to multi-task, follow through and perform on a deadline, equal ability to work independently and with others, ability to work effectively with the public, and ability to prioritize work.
- Be able to work a 40-hour week.
- Has working knowledge of Athletic Programs and Events
- Experience in Government Agency Rules and Regulations
- College degree preferred.
Responsibilities Include:
- Prepare and Manage annual Operating Budget for all recreational functions.
- Train, supervise, and evaluate work performance of employees and contractors. Oversee all matters pertaining to employee’s payroll including time keeping, vacation, sick and holidays.
- Ensure the facility is clean and organized and inspect for any safety issues.
- Assist recreation board members in short- and long-range planning for a successful comprehensive recreation program.
- Ensure all District #4 rules, regulations, and procedures are followed; ensure all personnel are trained in and are following District #4 procedures.
- Enforce purchasing procedures and inventory control for all recreation programs, buildings, fields, and parks
